To facilitate a smooth application process, please ensure you follow these steps:
Begin by filling out the application form, ensuring all sections are completed accurately and signed. You can dowload the form here.
A non-refundable application fee of 15,000 Baht is required. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing your application.
Include clear photocopies of both parent and child's passports and relevant visas if applicable to your situation.
Provide a copy of your child's birth certificate for verification purposes.
Submit recent passport-sized photographs of your child, ensuring they are no older than six months.
Include an official transcript or report cards from previous grade levels, translated into English.
If relevant, provide any educational assessments or specialist reports that may contribute to a comprehensive understanding of your child's learning needs.
Please note that applications will be accepted via email and fax. However, hard copies of all documents must be sent by mail or presented in person to complete the application process.
Upon the submission of the required documents and receipt of the application fee, our dedicated Admissions Office will meticulously review your application. Should further details be needed, we may reach out for additional information to ensure a comprehensive assessment. Kwong Chow School will schedule age-specific assessments – which may take the form of written tests in English, Science and Maths, a meeting with the head of the relevant department and a full day in class. Applicants will then be notified at the end of the day if they have met the criteria for admission.
Early years students are assessed by completing informal and practical activities in the classroom. Primary (elementary) and secondary school students will undertake an English assessment in each of the 4 main areas of the English Language (reading, writing, speaking and listening) as well as non-language based mathematics and science assessments.
It's essential to highlight that while we warmly welcome students from all nationalities, proficiency in English is crucial for full participation in our curriculum, given that English is the primary language of instruction.
Successful candidates will be notified of their admission status by the end of the assessment day. Upon receiving an offer, prompt payment of the entrance fee within seven (7) days secures your child's place. Priority will be given to other applicants if the fee is not settled within this timeframe. For those joining in May, the first installment of tuition fees is expected in January.
Feel free to contact our admissions team at [email protected] if you have any questions or require assistance throughout the application process. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you to the Kwong Chow community!
